Your driving along losing power it starts shaking and choking out then stalls and won't start for a day then runs fine and does it all over again

The stall is likely caused by an electrical system or in the fuel system. In some cases, they stall due to vapor lock because the fuel pumps are designed to pump liquid and not vapor. Also check your tank vent system for blockage.
