    Red Hair Dye Disaster
I had dyed my hair for halloween 2006(BAD iDEA). The color was red. And my natural hair color was dirty blond. Now it is November 29th and on the box it said "comes out in 8-10 washes (temporary dye)" I must of took 60 showers and now my bangs are red/orange and my hair has a red tint to it! Im helpless. What should I do? Buy a certain shampoo? I don't want to go to the hair salon because I don't have the money to be charged $100 to get my hair color back! What should I do?

Temporary color only codes the hair which generally washes out when you shampoo. The spray on colors are often temporary. This may not be the case for blonde hair. Blonde hair may be extremely porous and may act as a sponge, holding the color molecules for an extended period in random places along the hair shaft. Try using a clarifying shampoo or Prell until it washes out. But, if the color doesn't come off, you will need to go to the salon and have it stripped from your hair.

I have been told by friends that you can wash your hair in either Dawn Dish Soap or TIDE to help strip the color out. I have no idea if this actually works. TAke care not to get it in your eyes.
