    Lights not working
    Hello,
Recently my outside porch light, bathroom light, and bathroom outlet quit "working". They don't work even though none of my breakers tripped and I'm detecting current in the wires (regarding the lights, I tried new bulbs and they still don't work). The bathroom outlet is a GFCI, but neither of the lights are in line with it .
Any idea what the problem may be?

A splice or connection may have come loose in one of the boxes, most likely in the GFI or switch box.

Thous splices can come loose, they usually are not a problem. Check to see if any of the outlets or switches use the push in type connection, the wire is stripped about a half inch, and pushed into a small hole on the back of a device.

GFI outlets use a connection that look like pus in, but are tightened with the screw, so these are usually not a problem.

In any case, since you cannot find a tripped GFI or circuit breaker, the outlet and switch boxes will need to be opened to find a loose connection.
