    My period has vanished! Help?
It's been about a good 4 months since I've had a "real" period. I don't have cramps anymore and I hardly bleed at all. It's been more of a reddish discharge but only on the weeks that I'm supposed to be bleeding. Aside from that it's normal. I'm really worried 'cause I used to bleed enough for the thick pads but now I just need a good liner. I'm only 22, is this right? -worried-!

Your periods can easily be "off" for a year after a c section, or vaginal birth for that matter. No hard and fast rule... every woman can be different from the next.

Are you nursing? That can delay the return to "normal"...

And remember, you are fertile, menstruating or not...

No sadly my daughter didn't make it. She passed away after two days of birth. :(

So sorry to hear this. If you don't mind my asking, what was her name?

Breast feeding can easily suppress the return of menstruation for quite some time, so that's why I asked.

Not uncommon for women who aren't nursing to experience their period within a couple of months after the delivery or c section. Have you talked to your gyn? Sometimes they'll suggest BC to help return to a normal cycle...
