    What is this related to ?

    My guess is that "primitive" refers to a plumbing system that was installed not following general and established plumbing Code and/or installation practices a.I. open sewer installation etc...

    Ya want to a "primitive plumbing system"?
    How about a hand dug well with a pitcher pump and a two holer outhouse?
    Would that be "primitive" enough?
    The next step down would be a open latrine and muddy water.
