My ex has my flat keys
I split up with my ex boyfriend,we had a massive row,we have a 2 yr old daughter, his always been quite controlling, abusive and manipulativ,he has a great way of making me feel bad and making out its all my fault when things go wrong,we have been on and off for the 9th time and we split up again,he has my flat keys and won't give them back, why is this?? I'm completely drained by the hole experience and feel really depressed,I've got no one to turn too.I told him I would call the police if he didn't give them back but I didn't have the courage too (whats wrong with me) he said everyone one will laugh at me if I do.please help

Suck it up and have the lock changed.

Learn how to live your life without going back to him for a 10th time.

You can only rely on yourself as you said, and going through this process is unfortunately something you cannot avoid.

Without anybody to help or support you, try attending counselling to help you to stay strong.

    Good luck to you.

Let him keep the keys. He probably has a copy anyway. Can you call a locksmith? Can you get a friend to help you?

I agree with Jake, don't let him come back ever again.

Go live your life, and be happy.

I agree. Let him keep the keys, get your lock changed and if you need to get a restraining order. Stop this back and forth game with him. Abuse is serious, especially when there is a child involved. Who's to say he's not waiting for you to come back so he can kill you? I know that might sound extreme but that's how A lot of abusive relationships end. You've got an opportunity to move on and break the cycle, DO IT.

Yep, he can have a dozen copies, you merely change the lock.

Exactly, if you rent the landlord will probably change the locks for no charge.
