I 19 and I usually have irregular periods since I'm under a lot of stress. I haven't had my period for about 2-3 months.. On February 4th during sexual intercourse the condom broke basically came off with out us noticing. I took a pregnancy test on February 21 or 22 and it came out negative, but latley I have been feeling a bit sick nasuea and small headaches. I can hardly sleep as well. I finally went to the doctor on march 8th and they just took a regular pregnancy test and it came out negative she said they didn't do blood work because pregnancy test they use is really sensative and can detect the pregnancy no matter how early it is, But for some reason I feel pregnant.. idk if its me just wanting to be pregnant that I feel this way.. I'm just really confused..

You could try going to another dr. but there's so many things that can cause "pregnancy symptoms" that they really aren't a sure indication of pregnancy. And you mentioned you already have irregular periods. I'd wait a while longer and go back to the dr.'s. Have you considered talking to your dr about birth control? Not only would it help regulate your periods, but it would be extra protection if another condom broke in the future (even though abstinence is the only 100% effective method of birth control).

Thinking too much about pregnancy can cause your body to experience symptoms, there's no doubt.

The blood test is very sensitive, much more than urine tests, which can be diluted or have false negative results in some women who are early in pregnancy.

I suggest you ask for a blood test and if they aren't willing to give you one, get a second opinion elsewhere. In the meantime, try a HPT with first morning urine. Still, its important to discover why you're missing periods.
