Bryant gas furnace (383 kav) not lighting, code 13
I have a 2000 Bryant 383KAV gas furnace that is not heating. The code is 13, the filter was dirty, I replaced it and tried to restart the furnace. The thing is not lighting the burner. My manual says to reset the limit switch, I have looked everywhere and am convinced my unit does not have a limit switch. The same 13 code returns each time after displaying a 33 code for three minutes. I am pretty good at diagnosing and repairing things, I am a master german car tech, this thing has me baffled Any help? Terry

Your furnace should have a reset switch. If you look on the back side of the blower access door it should be listed and shown in the wiring. Follow the wiring color.

I have the same heater, and was getting the same 13 code. The fan would run without any heat. I also could not find a reset switch. What I did find, by following the red wires that the schematic showed would lead to the flame rollout reset switch, was a 3-inch long wand thingy hidden behind a flat, white, faceplate. You have to unscrew (1/4 inch hex I believe) the faceplate to reveal this wand thingy. I jumped this wand where the red wires enter and leave the faceplate, and my heater started igniting and working again. I have since removed the jumpers and it has continued to ignite for 2 days. Hope this helps. Tom
