My car is old, should I get ready to buy another or keep this one running?
I have a 1993 Pontiac Grand Prix with 212,000 miles. The car runs like a dream! The previous owner spent thousands in repairs over the years. Most of the parts on this car are new except the engine/tranny. I have a little xtra money coming in for a while. I'm wondering if I should prepare to buy another car or replace engine in existing car (when time comes). I know some folks say if repairs exceed 50% of the car's value, time for another one. So, a new engine is out of the question. But I plan on driving this car in the ground. I like this car and for what I could spend on another, I'd rather have this one. Some insight please! Thanks, Brandon
