Okay it is about this boy that becomes friends with this monstrous robotic half dragon, It is only the head wings and front legs I think and is not a real dragon but it is still alive. I know I have seen it on muppet specials but they never give any info on it

The dragon was all silver and polyester and a lot like hobbit smog

It was stored in this hugh warehouse and I think was kind of lonely but wouldn't let it on

The kid reminded me a lot of the navigator

It sounds like one of Jim Henson's "The Storyteller Specials" but I am really not sure!

Nope seen it that isn't one this was an actual present time story the kid was wearing jeans and a gator shirt and the dragon was made of metal

I think it might even be the kid from the navigator?

The Film is called Monster maker and it's about a boy who made puppets and robotic critters as a hobby and wanted to be an apprentice to a man who was an expert in that field. The monster was called the Ultragorgon and had a wingspan of 17 feet. This Show appeared on "The Jim Henson Hour" i1989.
