Probation Violation and new charge
My question here is for all to answer that can in particular EXCON I am serving a 4 yr probation sentence due to ID theft and I have 15 months to go. I got a new charge of ID theft and that has lead to a Violation of my probation, I seriously did all the I was serving time for until this I trusted a "friend" she got pissed off at me and used it against me, I am sure with my atty. The new charge will get dropped but where does that leave me at on the violation? Can I still be violated even if the charges were dropped? Can my atty in fact do what he has told me he was going to shoot for and have me out on a violatiion warrant in a week or so? This is in Tenn. And they have always made you sit for months on probation violations. What makes mine different? Also I have heard that once a case is reopened there is a chance to have everything dropped as time served. If I wanted to max out my probation with jail time about how lomg do you think I would sit. My family has moved to Al. and started a successful business and I need to be there with them and I am tired of these probation officers controlling my life in Tennessee there is no probation your just waitting for them to get you again just because someone said you did something when you didn't. I am ready to move on I have kept my nose clear for years now. By the way I have a record of Idenity Theft and this is the second time I have been on probation for it first time to violate this probation thou. Any advice is well appreciated! Thanks
