    Child Support
My ex-husband owes more than $16,000 in back child support. We live in Arizona. Do you know of a way to go after his parents for this? His father and step-mother are extremely wealthy. I am tired of him not paying for his obligation when all he does is sit around with his feet up. He cannot hold a job. The last one he had in January he was fired from because he did not pass the drug test.

Assuming he is an adult his parents (wealthy or not) are not responsible for his bills.

Why isn't a child support unit going after him for contempt?

No, you can't go after his parents, or his neighbors or his brother. Only he is liable for the child support

His parents did not make the child therefore they are not responsible for the child. Only he can be ordered to pay support.
