I got a three day pay rent or quit...
It was hand delivered and I already had the rent ready
So she gave me the notice I gave her the rent prorated for the late fee included.
I then get a letter in the mail a few weeks later saying Im finned twenty dollars
For a 3 day notice fee..
First of all if it was a equal exchange is the 3 day notice even needed..
Second of all can I be fined for the notice..

Who sent you the "fine" if it is the landlord they can not do anything not allowed in the lease.

Yes they are in their rights to give you the notice if you had not already paid them, and have to pay them all late charges and penalties.
