I have a switch with power to it and wire going to a light,a wire going to outlets
I have a switch box with power to it and wire going to a light to the left out of the switch box and a wire going to outlets to the right out of the switch box.
How do I wire the switch to make both the light and the outlets work properly?

There is no proper way to wire switch and outlets in relation to the operation of them.

Outlet can be controlled by switch or be hot all the time.

    Same with light.

Please explain how u want them to work.

Connect all the white wires together with a wire nut. Connect all the ground wires together with a wire nut and add a pig tail. Connect the black of the hot to the black going to the outlets with a wire nut and add a pigtail. Connect the ground pig tail to the green ground screw of the switch. Connect the black pigtail to the switch, (it does not matter which screw terminal you use), connect the black going to the light to the other terminal of the switch.
