How to wire pressure control switch for a well pump
Ok, I am pulling my hair out. I changed my pressure control switch(square D). Because my pump wouldn't kick back on after getting below 30#. (I have a 30-50) It was 15 years old and I have very hard water so I figure it was time. Still the same result pump cuts off at 50 but does not kick back on. I have a salt water tank system tied into my well (FYI). On the control switch 4 terminals: instruction says motor wires go to the 2 middle terminals and the Line wires to outside terminals. I have each 1 black and 1 white with ground wire (copper). Does it matter which terminal gets the black or white? Please help. I am tired of getting "buzzed" at 5:00 in the morning starting the pump.
