Irregular periods - can this be normal, or could I be going through early menopause?
I'm just 38 and trying for a baby for about 4 months. My periods have always been regular at 27 days, but the last 3 months have been 24, 32 and 20 days. I also am heavier and having more cramping than usual. I'm the correct weight (5 ft 9in and 10 stone 2), eat heathily, exercise, don't smoke, am negative for STDs and have had no previous problems in this area. The irregularity seems to have started since I started trying to get pregnant, so could I be getting pregnant, and then the egg is being rejected as there's something wrong, or could it be a sign of early menopause (I have no other symptoms). Please help, as I'm worried I won't be able to conceive. Lisa.
