I bought a ring fro my sister. Her husband has been asking where is your ring, she never woul dtell him she sold it to me. She came down last weekend to vist our father in the hospital. She stayed with me, after she left I looked for the ring and it was gone. She been calling family members trying to find out, what's going on with me. I don't want the ring back, I want my money back. IS there anything legal I can do? Thinking about calling hubby and telling him everything.

Have you asked your sister about getting the money back yet?
You could take her to small claims court, but if there is no receipt of the transaction you could never really prove that you paid her for it. You may even have to pay court fees to do something like that.

Take her to Small Claims Court - it's your word against hers. Verbal agreements/contracts are entertained in SC Court all the time. The Judge will believe one of you.

The filing cost is minimal.
