Rip Woods - Artist, Art - Rip Woods
I found an artist who used the name Rip Woods (real name Roosevelt) who seemed to have painted abstract Afro-ethnic imagery.

The other two that went by the name Rip ;
One is known for his sculptures.
Rip Caswell - Artist, Art - Rip Caswell

And the other for his landscapes.
Ripley Anthony - Artist, Art - Ripley O. Anthony

But I could not find any who painted portraits.
