I live in MA and am employed by a MA company. For 8 months of 2009, I was assigned to a facility in Texas. Am I considered a full time or part time resident for MA state tax purposes?

Since you live in MA, you are full year resident of MA. That is if you were in MA before going to Texas and returned back to MA from Texas, you are MA resident.
