Is it necessary to take a bath twice daily. I mean to apply lightening cream twice a day, do you bath each tym applying the cream? Does it help the lightening process? I take a bath everymorning but I don't usually bath at night. It would help to have someone else opinion. Please answer.

I only lighten my face because my body is what I want to match. I wash my face mornign and night before lightening it. So I would assume it would be the same thing in a way... you definitely don't have to but if you had an exfoliating body wash that you can scrub yourself with, it would probably be faster.

Well I will say that I apply my creams 2-3 times a day. I also bathe twice a day. Three times a day if I work out.

For me personally, I choose to apply the creams after I take my baths because my pores are open and I find that my skin absorbs the creams better.

So in my opinion, is it necessary? No. Does it help? Yes.

I don't know why but the warm and hot water bath is something that never seems to work for me but gets me redder... I get rashes and red cheeks...

And every time I have a cold shower, I get frosty... I wonder why is that...


I have started a regimen of msm, vitamin c, olive oil mixed with monobenzone again... sometimes zinc tablets and cod liver oil capsules

Been day two all over again after staying away from lightening for about two months..


Lets see how things go this time . I take cold showers before applying it.. I know my pores close by it.. but then again taking warm baths earlier never really helped when I applied monobenzone..


So I'm taking this risk this time.. besides my skin does burn on using my mix evenafter a cold shower.. mainly on my face


And I apply retin a cream before applying my mix.. .

Cold shower? Interesting!
Are you using mono? What %? You make it up? Or readymade?

You know you said you use retin a? Could it be the reason causing burn? As combined with mono, I found it too harsh. I started using retin a every morning in its own after hot shower, after applying mono at night. My skin was peeling off, and so dry, and had hanging skin all over, and it burns!! I know a lot use it no problem but I thought it was too much for my skin to take, maybe after few months use of mono, will try it again.

Usually it's not good for the skin to bath more than twice a day .What is important is that most of the skin lighteners and exfoliants such as retin a contain acids and for them to be efficient you need to clean your skin very well(nothing greasy)So even if you bath sometimes skin still has dirt on it.
What I usually do is that I just clean it with some alcohol 70 at night before going to sleep and in the morning I use water... (this is only what I do on my face)
It works very well!

Its better to use bleaching soaps because they have additional bleaching. And it is better to bath twice a day and then reapply lotion/cream, especially if u want quicker or dramatic results. Apply 3 times a day if u want faster results.

No I use retin a on and off. I stopped using mono. You know why :) amandahitech and mono.net sigh!

Cold showers shrink not only pores but I believe it has the capacity to calm down your melanocytes as heat and sun invigorate them to produce more melanin.

Sorry imgorgeus I hope I don't sound rude please forgive me if I do. But cold shower doesn't effect melanocytes in that way. At least not enough to show any significant difference in skin tone.

To each its own, but warm showers will not cause your skin to produce melanocytes. Exposure to UVA and UVB rays from the sun will. I know you (imgorgeous) say that the cold shower method works for you, and that's fine. Everyone's skin is different. However, it is scientifically proven that cold (weather, water etc) will close the pores. Which generally allows less absorption of the product than the user probably intended.
