My mothers 4 year old washing machine has stopped working. She was doing a load and as it got to the final spin it just stopped. Now if you turn it on nothing happens, the door locks and you just get a humming sound. There is also a bit of water left in the machine from the last run. Any ideas she is on a fixed income, so can't buy a new one and I live 2 1/2 hours away so I am going over Saturday to take a look. My question is what am I looking for?
