Vista ignores CD / reboots on pushing eject button.
I have a ZT running Vista. It has 2G RAM and using a Core 2 Quad. It ran fine for over a year and does auto Win Updates. In the past 4 or 6 months, it has developed a problem where it seems to ignore a data CD when I insert it while browsers and other app's seem to continue working. If I hit the manual eject button on the DVD drive, Vista reboots. I've looked through event logs today but only see a message that Windows wasn't shut down properly at a particular timestamp but only find other events somewhat before the shutdown. I've been poking around in various links on a Google search but don't see much related. Vista is at SP 2 - I believe that's the latest. I installed a bunch of optional patches from MS today hoping maybe one of those solutions might help. Any ideas on the cause of this?
