    Tricky Door Trim Question
I need to trim around a door in my basement. Because the door is under where I boxed in around duct work, there isn't enough room to trim around the top.

    Any suggestions??

Since you'll want to use normal casing on the sides, your best bet is to rip the top casing piece so that it fits. i.e. cut it lengthwise so that it's bottom edge comes to where it's supposed to and the top edge goes right up to the ceiling.

No, it's not "textbook" but it'll work... and in my opinion the way to go with it.

You can do what Rickj said or you can buy 2 rosettes and run the vertical trim into the rosettes then along the top you can install 3/4" quarter round.
