I have an Ariens ST724 snowblower, (it's over 25 years old). When it's running at an idle or when its in gear the enginie idle just goes real high for noi reason. I've tried to adjust the throttle control but it only stalls when I turn it down. Any idea as to what may need to be done to correct this issue? Thanks for any help that you can offer.

Make sure the governor operates freely. Probably need some carb cleaner on the throttle plate. There is probably too much friction.
