My brother has been beaten up badly, I went to see him and me, my mam and sisters didn't recognise him, it was unreal... his face is swollen that much, he has broken nose, cheek bone, jaw and eye socket, it was 2 young lads that did it for no reason, they have been charged with GBH, section 18, but I don't understand what that is, could the charge get reduced and are they going to be going to prison??

First since we don't know where you live, US, ( what state) Mexico, Canada, Poland or where none of us will know what GBH is.

But it is common for criminals to work out a plea bargan for a reduced sentence.
And they may get probation depending on many factors
