Benoquin is not a lightener, it depigment the skin i.e make you white by giving you white spots, and then eventfully they join to form a depigmented skin. Is that what you looking for? Have you researched it well?

I am not sceptical at all, I am just fed up of people who complain about mono, without researching it well. It does exactly what it says in the tin.
I started using 2 yrs ago, but I stopped for so many reasons but now I am on it for the long run, finish what I started it.
Yes it does work, if you buy it from a reputable source. My experience is been really good with mono, that include white spots in my body but I know it is working, luckily so far no spots in my face, just overall lightening. It does not mean that how it will carry on but I am not bothered as long I get what I want at the end. Not many people understand that, so I don’t want to mislead people.

So sara_uk are you trying to totally depigment your skin ? What color are you originally and how far do you want to go?

Yes, I am trying to depigment, to be honest, I did not want to be white just even colour all over without trying to apply to every spot in my body.
After researching, I found only mono does that, yes I have to go all the way as I can’t stop half way, if I don’t depiged fully , dark spots will be coming back.
I am dark, I would say medium brown, I will post pictures when there is great contrast but I have posted pictures about the white patches in my body.
Luckily when I am done, I will not be stark white, just white, as the spots are not that pale, and that what my whole body will end up looking eventually.

Wow that's intense. Are you not slightly afraid of what your family and friends will think about becoming pretty much white? I hope all goes well for you though! :)

Hi everybody, I'm new to this forum. I'm also interested in anyone's experiences with monobenzone/benoquin. I need to apply it to every inch of skin?

Mono works differently for everyone. It is a depigmenting agent. You will turn white. It can be used for lightening, but I would not recommend if you are dark. Also, once you stop using it, the color will come back if you do not have vitiligo. So you have to stay on it for maintenance. Which is expensive.

If you are serious about using it, you do not have to apply it all over because it works systemically. But it can be very erratic and unpredictable.

You don’t have to apply to every section but it helps to do so, because they will take longer to catch up.

    Thanks sara_uk.

I used HQ for two weeks then I stopped for a while, but I'm afraid of side effects. What should I do?

Hey nousername were u dark to begin with? Have you depigged? How long did it take? And are you still using it?

I am white, I only used mono on tanned areas that were not going away, like a farmer's tan. So in my case, it worked as a lightener. It took two months and no, I quit using it once I got to the desired color.
