    violation of probation fines
I have a similar case as tommypetrizzo, I 2 have been on prob 2yrs more than my 5yr sentence,I was given and ext cause my fine wasn't paid. My time is coming up again and I still haven't finished paying the fine.Ive been making payments, I'm also on disabillity.I'm currently $20 in arrears, but I still have a lot 2 pay.My po is real tough and he says he's going to file for a violation.I read that the judge will issue a warrant instead of giving me a court date 2 appear Is that true?or can I receive a letter 2 appear in court instead of the warrant.I can't afford a lawyer so what do I do?I

Normally for a violation of probation, they issue a warrant, Since that is what it is a violation.

They are stlil violating probation for non payment. You could be sent to prison for your entire original sentence.

There are some court cases to try and stop this from happening, but they are still in state supreme courts and will go to the US Supreme court in my opinoin and I am not sure what will be the outcome.

But at this point, in most places, yes they will issue a warrant and put you in jail till the court hearing
