Had electric furnace, ducts, and heat pump installed last year. My heat pump is covered in ice and snow. The blades do not run and I think it is only furnace working. I do keep the snow off. Why is all my neighboors units nice and clear and mine is a block of ice? First time been used in winter and unit is only 1 yr. old? What or is there something we are to be doing and just did not know. Do I call the company that put in this unit to check this or is this normal on the new heat pump units?

The unit should be defrosting by itself so something is wrong. I would call the company and have them fix it.

Myheat pump freezes up is there a electronic unit I can change
