Hey,I just want to say that everyone say that I am 14 so I need to act like it but the reason they say these things are because they always see me playing around and I need to be more mature.It makes me mad when people say this because they don't know my feelings I can't help but always feel happy and wanting to make people laugh just so I won't see their upset or angry faces. I don't like to be serious all the time it feels so intense to me, I'm only serious at important times like at sad times or bad times.My stepsister tells me that I need to be more mature,even though she is 13 she acts like she's all that, and makes herself act like she's a 16 year old teen.When she tells me that I need to be mature we always end up fighting because I get tired of her always saying that I need to be mature.What should I do?

To be honest your still learning,14 is still so young,yes,respecting yourself and others is important,listening to your parents and teachers.

Many young teens these days want to grow up so fast,trying to take on adult responsibilities and learning the hard way,too much,too fast too soon.

Your 14,be 14,take your time to learn and enjoy your youth.

Who really cares what your sister thinks. Be yourself, be happy. Sounds like your step sister is jealous and unhappy and wants you to be the same way as her, in order for her to feel better about herself. Guess what let her do all the talking she wants. Enjoy your youth if you do not you will regret it later on.

You're 14, being immature is part of the package. You have your whole life to be "mature".

Be a kid, that's what you are. Enjoy it, it goes by really fast.

And to be concerned about what others think is a sign of maturity, but who cares what a sister things.
