My hatachi TV model 51F510 turns on but no picture or sound and the remote will not work, checked my cable coming in with another TV and that's OK, worked before I got it but once I hooked it up it will not work can anyone help me

When it comes on does it indicate what its looking at? Most tv's show cable or video1 etc when they come on. Is yours saying anything? Could it be set to something that is not on or hooked up ( like video 1)

Also try the buttons on the set to change inputs if necessary.
