    If I hold an L1 visa am I eligible to apply for the $8000 first homebuyers tax credit?

    Yes, if you are eligible to file resident tax return. Complete Form 5405 and include a copy of the settlement statement showing all parties' names and signatures, property address, sales price, and date of purchase.
