Dimmer switch will not work properly
I had to run a new wire from switch to light because it got cut, but thought I put everything back the same way it came out. However, I have lost dimming functionality. Still have on/off, but nothing in between.

Wiring is 14/2 from breaker > plugs > switch, 14/3 switch > light, 14/2 light > plugs. The 14/3 is to have two hot wires, one of which passes straight through to the plugs beyond the light.

At the switch, black ties to right side of dimmer and continues as black. White ties directly to white. Left side of dimmer ties to red wire in 14/3. At the light, the wires are unmarked (hanging chandelier with transluscent casings and copper wires). One is connected to the red wire, the other is connected to the white wires. Black tied only to black.

This seems correct to me. The hot black wire ties to the switch and continues on to the plugs, the neutral ties to the light and continues on, and the red acts as a switch leg.

If this is correct, is it possible the dimmer switch got wrecked when the live wire was cut?
