My sister in law went to the doc for irregular(sometimes 2 times a month)periods.The doc told her she had ovarian cysts and had to get them removed.They didn't do a biopsy they are just removing the cysts,aoing a DnC,and removing her lymph nodes.Why remove the lymph nodes?

The lymph nodes were probably inflamed in that particular spot. They are found throughout our body and are connected to our immune system. After the surgery they probably would serve no purpose and quite frankly, will not be missed by her.

By the way it is D & C which stands for Dilation and Curretage.
