HOA Property Lien

Can HOA's placed a lien then public action property and buy it back?

I think it would depend on state laws, locals laws, and the covenants and restrictions. It might require a vote by members of the association. I don't know where they would get the authority to arrange for a public auction if that is what you are saying. All of this would vary greatly from state to state, city, county etc.

It all depends on the bylaws of the HOA. What has exactly happened?
