Sex can live inside of your body for almost a week after you have sex. It's impossible to determine the exact day you conceived (at least through the internet, although I'm not sure that even your dr could figure out the exact day). Your dr should definitely be able to give you a rough estimate of when you conceived.
Hi my period if four days late should I take a pregnancy test now
My lmp was December 23rd 2009. I had unprotected sex on the Dec 24th and forgot I had a tampon in. I had unprotected sex December 28th. Which day is the more possible day for me to have conceived?

Most likely the 28th... not because of having a tampon in, but because you were on your period on the 24th.
But if sex can live in your body for up to a week, could this sperm have lived past my period and the tampon?
Possible, but the 28th would still give you the best odds because you would most likely be closer to ovulation at that time. Some sperm may live 5-7 days, but most die off about 3-4 days. The environment in your vagina during your period is not the best for sperm to survive very long, and, while it can happen, ovulating during your period, or a couple of days afterwards is not the norm.
Since it appears this is a situation of who's baby it might be, the only way you are going to know for certain is to have testing done after baby is born.
My doctor originally had my due date for Septemember 29th, which I didn't question conception, I thought I was sure. Until he recently changed the due date to Sep 23rd which he said conception could have accured between 24-31 of December. Now I'm worried. I'm now married and very worried.
If conception could have occurred on my period, when I have VERY regular periods.. I'm just confused. Why would my doctor say that if he knew when LMP was?
Conception during your period is not common. It is important to remember that there are several weeks at the end of pregnancy that are perfectly normal for baby to be born in. Part of the reason for this is that unless you had medical help and knew exactly when you ovulated, it can vary a bit from woman to woman. Another reason for this is that due dates are often calculated from the lmp, but most women are not actually pregnant in that first week or so.
Due dates also get altered after ultrasound when measurements can be taken of baby. This, however, will also not provide an exact date of conception as at different stages of pregnancy, babies can develop at slightly different rates. Your doctor is giving you an estimate... it is not definite.
So, yes it is possible to have gotten pregnant from the sex on the 24th, if you happen to ovulate earlier than the norm, but it is more likely that it was from sex on the 28th.
The only way to know for sure is to test afterwards. This is one of the risks women take when having sex with two, or more, people within a short period.
I hope it turns out how you would like it to.
It's is so relieving to be able to ask these questions anonymously without being judged. I feel better about the situation. I was sort of having my period on the 23rd lite spotting, but it really came in on Christmas Day. I know he only way to tell is to have a test done but I'm confident that the sex on the 28th my partner ejaculated vs on the parnter on the 24th didn't. I'm being overly paranoid I'm sure.
I have had a miscarriage at 8-9 weeks in April 2009, healthy 25 year old female, regular period with regular ovulation( doing OPK tests each month), my husband is 28 with no health issues.TTC since may 2009 with no luck. Went yo OB/GYN nurse said as long as I have regular periods I am fine. Really do not know what to do? Got pregnant first time within 8 months of trying so thinking to myself everything should be fine since we got pregnant before... Nave intercourse before, during and after ovulation each months
I'd consider asking your doctor to perform some initial testing since it has been over a year. Things may be perfectly fine and it is just a matter of more time, but usually after a year of actively trying to become pregnant, testing is recommended. Be sure to ask about a sperm analysis for your husband as part of the basic testing.
You might also try adding on a few extra days before and after you suspect ovulation to the routine you are already following. If possible, having sex every other day or third day throughout a cycle may also cover the bases from the timing angle.
I'm 34 weeks pregnant and I'm starting to have vaginal pain and it hurts a little to walk.. Is that okay for 34 weeks?
I'm 34weeks pregnant and having vaginal pain and it hurts when I walk a little is it okay for me to feel like that at 34 weeks?
It is not uncommon to develop more aches and pains later in pregnancy. Many women will find it difficult and painful to do much walking the last several weeks, and it usually is more of an annoyance than a true medical concern. However, anything new that causes you worry should be brought to the attention of your doctor or midwife.
I miscarried at 7 weeks on June 14 withno d&c. It has been almost 12 weeks since I have had a miscarriage and no period. Last week I took a dollar pregnancy test which said I was negative. I'm experiencing some weird things like pressure in lower abdomen while urinating and some nausea. I had very light spotting at the beginning of this week, but just once. My breasts aren't sore, like I would think if I was pregnant. And yes I have had sex since the miscarriage. Am I pregnant? Is it possible I didn't miscarry? Or is this all in my head?
I am 23 weeks and 6 days pregnant with twins and on Monday I was having regular contractions. So I went to labor and delivery and when they checked me they said I am already dilated to a 1. they didn't do anything to stop the contractions or say anything about me being dilated already. Should I be worried and get a second opinion? I am still having regular contractions.
Definitely get a second opinion. Did your doctor or midwife see you while in hospital? What did they say?
Now at times the cervix can close when there has been minimal opening, however, you wouldn't know this is occurring and you shouldn't assume it will happen.
Since you are still having regular contractions, and already have changes to your cervix, you need to have things reevaluated. Do not wait... contact them today.
