    How to cure stubborn chlamydia
I first had slight discomfort in my right lower abdomen (Momentarily) then a few days later I had discomfort in the region where the kidney is situated (one kidney at a time and only for a few minutes) and I had a little blood in the urine (Upon microscopic examination) Urologist said it is enlarged prostate. Took cadura and proscar. Suddenly one day I had discomfort on the groin area (knotty feeling in the lymph gland region). The dr said it is not enlarged lymph glands. The feeling comes and goes. As there was a possibility of exposure I was checked for STD - All negative (THe urethral smear and culture was negative) Then one month later the dr said the serology report showed that I have chlamydia antibodies . I was treated with doxy 100g twice a day for three weeks, No improvement. In fact I am worse of now as I have a slight burning or wet sensation at the tip of my penis. What should I do? Or rather what should the dr do? Please help

The usual way to cure chlamydia is with antibiotics. If it hasn't cleared up after a 3 week course of medication, then you need to ask your doctor what to do, or go to a specialist STD clinic for further tests.

Since we are not doctors, it could be quite hazardous for us to recommend what the doctor should do. How long ago did treatment end? Did you take ALL medication?

Having the antibodies simply means that you have had chlamydia in the past, it does not necessarily mean you currently have it. It would be in the best interest of your reproductive health to go back to the doctor with your concerns.

I had similair symptoms. I took cipro doxy etc. Saw many doctors. No improvement. In fact it got worse. Then one day I met with a small accident my feet was injured. The dr gave me cloxicilin. As I am diabetic the wound took a longer time to heal. I ended up taking 500mg 4 times daily for three weeks. And suddely I found myself symtomless - after eight months of misery and so many tests which were all negative except for Chlamydia wich a showed an earler infection.
