    Trying to find percentage rate
OK, here is the thing, but it really isn't homework, more like curiosity. I am a mechanic, and I am well know (at least at the shop) for selling batteries. Now, I am curious as to how to find my battery selling percentage rate. For example, this month I tested 48 batteries, and of those 48, I sold 17 of them. Now you can either tell me how to find the percentage, or just simply tell me what my selling percentage rate is. Thanks.

With 48 tested, and 17 sold, your percentage rate of sales is 35%. You take 17 and divide it by 48.

Move the decimal point over two places, and you get 35%.
