You need to know that when two polygons are similar, the ratio of the corresponding sides are equal.

In your 1st problem, you'll see that the side 6 corresponds to the side m of the bigger rectangle. Also, the side 8 corresponds to the side 16. (both are the longer side of the rectangles)

This means:


Solve it now, and try doing the same for the second one. Find out the corresponding sides and put them in the form of fractions.
