Weed killer - once a year type - for paved driveway
    Hi,

I am trying to get rid of grass and weeds that grow up between the paving stones in my drive way.I am told that there is a once a year Weed Killer spray that I can get, that stops anything growing for a year.Could anyone recommend a good one.

I have used Glycosphate 360 by Butlers, and it seems to work well.I used a much stronger than recommended mix with water. It looks like it left some white residue on the paving stones. Can it be washed off with dishwashing detergent or what can I use, or is it permanent? I am almost certain that is the cause of the whitish residue but those areas were overgrown with grass and weeds and I did not see it until after I sprayed and then cut and cleared all of it.And the gardening sales assistant did not mention this.

    Any help would be appreciated.Thanks

A good product to use would be something like Ortho Groundclear. It kills weeds and prevents them for 1 full year.

Also, the residue from glyophosate is only temporary, it should just go away on its own after a few weeks

Please be sure to read the labeling on any year long veg killer. It can not be applied in all situations since is can be carried off by rain draining over an area.

To actually remove the weeds, after it's killed, between the stones use an angle grinder fitted with a wire spoke wheel. Works fast.

I agree with the Ground Clear.
