Have u tried to do winsock on your computer...
The step to perform winsock is:
1> click start > click run > type CMD click OK > on the black screen type " netsh winsock reset catalog "
2>if the above step does not work then you need to have an operating system cd to perform the following step:
First change the boot sequence to boot from cd ;
Second boot from the OS cd ;
Third perform 3rd screen repair from the set up screen:

Is it that you can't connect to AOL or can't connect to websites from AOL? Have you tried purging your cache and resetting the AOL adapter?
