How good are the acer aspire laptops

Information about acer laptops

My boyfriend just got an acer laptop a few weeks ago. He loves it. And he's pretty picky about his computers. His brother had a really great one too for awhile, he loved it until it was stolen.

I can only speak for acer laptop I previously owned and would not suggest acer to a friend. They have email support, usually respond in 5 days in my attempts of using that 'feature'.

Was sent in 2 times for service and sent back 1st time saying nothing wrong with it and of course had to pay for shipping.

On the 2nd time for service, if I did not have extended warranty, I would have had been out of luck as they could not address issues and warranty company actually sent me a check for the orig cost.

Overall, for me, the product was made 'cheaply' and lasted less than a yr before 1st service and after 15 months, they just said, nothing can do.

Not saying made cheaply as my experience with it but compared to other laptops, just seemed to made inferior.

For that price range, there are other options you may want to consider. HP, toshiba and dell.

Others may weigh in but that is just my experience with acer as a whole and as their prices are lower for some of their products, I myself prefer to pay a little extra for another brand.
