What does PMA and DMA led mean in a Tellabus 8110 Modem provided by BSNL? Wherenever there is some sonnectivity problem any one of the leds starts glowing or blinking. But when the conectivity is OK these two leds goes off. Can anyone help me??

Ok, I have got something about PMA and DMA.
... Both PMA & DMA are Maintenanace Alarms and a alarm is always to warn something or bring something to notice...
PMA: Prompt Maintenance Alarm
DMA: Deferred Maintenance Alarm
... now I need to know what does that alarms practically means..
Please help me...
PMA alarm generally comes into play when the cable from modem to router is not connected properly. And DMA alarm does indicate some line problems from PSTN end
