I moved out by 1st of feb in the lease it says to wait 1week to 10days to receive my deposit I'm now waiting over that by 10days, rent was always paid and the I left the apt so clean nothing was broken or damaged, when I call the landlord he keeps fobbing me of with that went in on Friday?! Twice he has said this to me, I'm relying on the deposit to make rent for my new place, do I call my old landlord again or do I seek legal action now?

Put your demand in writing, get a receipt. Set a time limit (for example, within 3 days). If you don't get a satisfactory answer, then you will need to sue.

I rang the land lord to-day and he said once again I'd have it in a few days.. I said no sorry you told me that before and I'm still waiting, I then said if I didn't receive my deposit by Friday I was going to go to the wptb ( it's a tentant legal board in ireland ) to take legal action againest you if I didn't get my deposit by Friday.


Two hours later I got a phone call to say my deposit would go in to-day, when I got home I checked online banking and there was my money :)
