How long is he in for? And why would you want to marry him?
"For better, or for worse".
I would worry about the "worse" part.
Do you even know him or is this one of those "we wrote letters while he was in jail and fell in love" sort of things?
Why is he in jail?
When will he get out?
Are you okay with his crime? Are you one of those people that think he's changed? Sadly statistics say that's likely not the case.
Why not find someone you can actually be with, without the threat of constant incarceration?
Just a thought.
Most jails don't allow marriage of their prisioners, ( some prisons will)
But what do you do ? You wait till he is out of jail and is proving he will stop his criminal activities before you do.
What's the hurry? Why in the world would you want to get married at the jail? Don't you want to have a happy wedding followed by a honeymoon? Don't you want wedding pictures taken in happy environment with friends and family there?
Altenweg asked some good questions. Can you provide some answers to them so we'll be able to understand the situation a little better?
I live here in Va. Beach and I am somewhat familiar with the courts system here. I am also very familiar with the jail system (I have never been an inmate) but family members have.
With all that out of the way, why in heaven's name would you want to be associated with, much less married to a convicted felon!
If it were the other way around and I was contemplating marrying a lady, I pretty sure I would be concerned about the criminal past I do know of and very concerned about the criminal past I don't know about.
I suggest that you find another apple tree in the orchard and look for a different apple for you eye.
