    Hair color
I put a dark auburn hair color in. Since then I've tried to lighten it. My hair is usually a dark brown. Since I've put a light brown color over it and now my hair is still way too dark. What shade can I try now. I want to try coloring it again. Can u please help?

A dark auburn or light brown hair will not make dark brown hair lighter. Dark brown dark has a lot of red pigment in it, and if you apply a box of at home color on your hair, it will result in a brassy or red/orange look. If you want to go from dark brown to a light brown but without a lot of red, then you need bleach your hair and then apply the desired color. You should consider going to the salon. The hairstylist will make your hair lighter, minus the unwanted shades.

Color doesn't lift color. Once you apply a color, you cannot make it lighter with another color. You have to use bleach. You can add bleach hillights to give it dimension, or to completely get
Rid of the darker color, you need to use a color remover, then add the desired shade, I would suggest going to a salon for either choice.

I would agree and do what both of the recipients said to do, and there is a newer technique used in salons now that's a 2 step processing without hardly damaging your hair at all and getting it back to it's original color so you can go from there.

What they do is put one of their concoctions on your hair that minimizes the color particles so that they can put another serum in to take them away with minimal damage.

Good luck, hopefully you won't have hair like mine from too much bleach :]
