I replaced the heads in my pick up and I've been trying to set up the timing chain with the balance shaft gears and distributor and my truck still will not start. I believe my problem is getting the distributor lined up - I'd appreciate any help I can get. I've spent hours working on this. Thanks.:(

See if this might work on your truck:
1. Remove #1 spark plug.
2. Rotate crankshaft, until rod placed in #1 spark plug hole indicates top dead center.
3. Line up all timing marks and adjust tension on chain.
4. Rotor should point to #1 spark plug terminal in the distributor.
