Is it prohibited in islam to wear bra if not then why somali police flogged women for wearing bra?Why the insulted and humilated them?

I am not sure why that should have happened unless the police did it because they wanted to, it has nothing to do with Islam.

A woman's underclothing is her choice, the only Islamic suggestion would be that they be worn under the clothes and not like swimwear where a woman's awrah is not covered.

Somalian women have been used and abused for years now, both by the government forces as well as rogue militant groups.They have no safety at all.
