    Health
    Hi,
I don't really keep a record of when my period should come because it is irregular. However, am worried I might be pregnant. Although the easiest thing is to do a pregnancy test, right now I cannot bring myself to doing that. So my period came today. But am not sure whether it is spotting or period because it is not heavy, being the first day. I have cramps however. Though this I know is still a symptom of early pregnancy.

So how should I know whether is a period or spotting. How long should spotting take place and how light is it. My period is brownish in colour.

    Please help urgently!

    Thanks.

You most likely have your period. Wait another day or so to see if it gets heavier.

Why would you say its my period?

Because you said your period came today.

Periods usually begin with spotting and the amount is different from period to period and woman to woman.

I think its my period now because this morning I woke up and found that my pad is full. If not please advice. However, although this normally happens, I noticed that there were huge lumps in the blood. I know this is the uterine lining shedding off but I coudnt help wondering about something else: the lumps were big. Is this still normall or could something have gone wrong like an abortion? Because I had taken some e-pills before. And how does abortion takes place in the very early stages of pregnancy?

I know my questions might sound really weird but if there is something that I really don't know, its my body.
