I'm converted muslim. I always get confused about some of the things like singing naat or milaad some says it's not right some says it is. My second question is when people dies after when they're dead can they see us or hear us like our prayers, do they see us from up there. If I read quran in english does that counts as we read quran in arabic. Please answer these questions. Thank you. JazaaqAllah.

a. milaad or Naat? What kind activity is this?
b. in Islam who have died will be questioned by Alloh in the grave. And there no one knows, what he did. They can not see the lives of people who are still alive. We can only pray for them. Especially our parents who have died. People who died had lost contact for people who are still alive. Except that he's a good activity to do as long as life, knowledge that he gives to others is good and is still used by the person (eg teacher) and the last is the prayer of a child to his parents will always be connected to his parents

Regarding those who have passed away, the one thing we can do is make dua for them.


Regarding Quran;
“(This is) a Scripture that We have revealed unto thee, full of blessing, that they may ponder its revelations, and that men of understanding may reflect.” [Quran 38.29]

Reading the transliteration is a good thing as you will understand the meaning, especially if you do not know the meaning of the Quran verses in Arabic.

The rewards for reciting in Arabic are numerous and even if you cannot do it well at first, trying to learn will be rewarding as the more you struggle to be a better muslim, the more your rewards.

You could always refer to a site like this when reading translation so that you will hear the Arabic recitation as well. I find it easier to memorise while listening to a recitation and then repeating after it.
