I have a cub cadet model 70 that continuesly cranks even when the start button is released. It has a new voltage regulator, start button, and ignition switch. It also has a different used starter/generator. I do think it is wired correctly, looking at the wiring diagram. It quits cranking when the battery is disconnected, when the battery is reconnected it don't crank until the start button is pressed, then it keeps cranking.
